Describe an interesting place you have been to with a friend - sample answer 1

Introduction

Travelling with your best friend is one of the most amazing things to refresh yourself from the daily chaotic life. I try to take at least one trip a year to year with my best friend.

What and where the place is

I’d like to talk about an interesting place I visited with my friend. Rishikesh is a beautiful town located in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. It is famous for its spiritual vibe and breathtaking natural beauty.

With whom did you go, and when did you go there?

I went to Rishikesh with my best friend last summer, in June 2023. It was a spontaneous trip that we had been planning for months. We travelled by train and reached there early in the morning, excited to explore the beautiful destination.

What did you do there?

During our time in Rishikesh, we did a lot of adventurous activities. We started with a thrilling river rafting experience on the Ganga River, which was both exhilarating and scenic. We also explored the local markets, tried delicious street food, and visited ancient temples that were made between the hills. One of the highlights was attending a yoga session by the riverbank during sunset, which was incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating.

And explain why you think it is interesting

What makes Rishikesh so interesting is its combination of adventure and spirituality. It’s not just a place for thrill-seekers but also a perfect spot for individuals seeking inner peace and spiritual awakening. The mesmerising views of the mountains and the tranquil flow of the Ganga create a calming atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my trip to Rishikesh with my friend was adventurous and spiritually enriching. It’s a place that captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impact on anyone who visits. I truly cherish the memories we created there and hope to return someday to experience its magic once again.

Describe an interesting place you have been to with a friend - sample answer 2

Introduction

I am a travel enthusiast, and I have travelled to many different places and countries, whether on business, vacations, or a road trip.

What and where the place is

One of the most interesting places I’ve been to is Ladakh, which is in the northern part of India. Ladakh is a beautiful region known for its stunning landscapes, including high mountains, clear blue lakes, and unique monasteries.

With whom did you go, and when did you go there?

I visited this amazing place with my friend Shashank about two years ago. It was a road trip which multiplied the adventure significantly. We drove through rough terrains, crossed high mountain passes like Khardung La, and marvelled at the breathtaking views.

What did you do there?

During our trip, we did a lot of things. We visited the famous Pangong Lake, which is known for its changing colours. We also explored several monasteries, like the Thiksey Monastery, where we learned about the local culture and Buddhism. One of the highlights was camping under the stars at a high-altitude campsite, which was a magical experience.

And explain why you think it is interesting

I think Ladakh is incredibly interesting because of its unique natural beauty and serene environment. It feels like a different world, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The road trip added to the adventure, as we faced challenges like rough roads and high altitudes but also enjoyed moments of incredible beauty and peace.
