Speaking is an art that requires accurate observation, which must then be communicated as clearly as possible. To score high on the IELTS, you need to show proficiency in the language during the speaking section. You can use IELTS speaking cue cards to show your ideas and English language skills.
The main problem with the IELTS speaking cue card is that students frequently experience anxiety when they have only two minutes to talk. If the idea of talking nonstop for two minutes makes you nervous, too, don't worry!
This blog aims to make sense of the nuances involved in answering the popular IELTS speaking question, "Describe a daily routine that you enjoy." So, read this blog until the end and know how to answer these cue card questions without getting nervous.

Introduction
Different people and age groups have different routines, especially in the morning. Some people prefer doing physical exercise, while some prefer meditation or worshipping God.
What is it?/ Where and when do you do it?
In the morning, I start my day with meditation and pray to god after bathing. In my home, I perform this routine exercise in a separate room designated for worship and meditation. Meditation is something I make sure to do daily, if not in the morning, maybe at some other time, but I do take time for it no matter how busy my schedule is.
Who do you do it?
The biggest reason I prefer meditation and God's worship in the morning is that it allows me to start my day with positivity and calmness. It also allows me to think clearly and energises me to complete all my tasks. I enjoy many other activities in my schedule, but this one is my favourite. I’ve been practising this activity since I was 10 years old. My grandmother used to teach me meditation and then take me along to the temple with her.
Explain why you enjoy it.
There are several reasons why I value this routine. Above all, this activity gives me great optimism and mental tranquillity for living a happy life. I get a great start to the day and build strong self-confidence and faith in God when I pray to him and do meditation.
Conclusion
Overall, doing meditation as a part of my daily routine is something that I look forward to each day, and it helps me stay on track.

Introduction
Routines assist us in forming healthy daily habits that support self-care, discipline, and growth. We can plan our days around what we think is essential to preserving our happiness and sense of fulfilment. This is why it is quite important to maintain a daily routine.
What is it?
As a part of my daily routine, I start my day with yoga, followed by taking a bath, having breakfast, worshipping, going to work, and so on. But the morning walk is the most important thing I don’t miss.
Where and when do you do it?/ Who do you do it?
I generally start my day with a morning yoga of 30 mins daily. My favourite gothic place is my terrace garden, where I feel so calm and relaxed in the open air. I've been taking this activity every day for around 6 months now. I have an app on my phone which guides me in doing yoga. Generally, I do it alone, but sometimes, my friend or mother accompanies me.
Explain why you enjoy it.
I like it because it makes me feel I'm doing something good for my body. I used to be a little overweight, but I've now reduced to about 14 kg, and my body shape looks and feels much better. I've changed from being sluggish to being a lot more active and healthier. I used to spend a lot of time tossing and turning in bed, trying to fall asleep because I also experienced insomnia. But with practising yoga daily, I'm now able to sleep within minutes of placing my head on the pillow. I am also more focused on my studies as a result of a good night's sleep.
Conclusion
Yoga can be done at any time of day, but I prefer to begin my day with it. If my morning is busy, I schedule it at some other time.

Introduction
The habit of reading is one that should be incorporated into one's daily routine. It makes you more empathetic and knowledgeable and stimulates your imagination.
What is it?
Reading books is one of my favourite everyday activities. I mostly read self-help and mythological books. Some books are divided into multiple sections; even novels with one section can have multiple subsections.
Where and when do you do it?
I usually do this before going to bed at around 9:30 pm, and it's become a daily habit that I look forward to.
Who do you do it?
Once, I was watching a YouTube podcast, wherein they talked about how beneficial it is to read books daily. So, after watching that video, I got convinced to start reading daily.
So, I bought one popular self-help book, Atomic Habits and began reading it, and it gradually became a habit for me. Whereas, if we talk about mythological books, I go with books recommended by my grandparents; generally, mythological books give you the best knowledge and guidance for life.
Explain why you enjoy it.
I like reading self-help and mythology books since they guide me through life's purpose and support me in hard times. It also inspires me to make better choices and take positive actions.
Conclusion
The habit of reading is one of the best qualities one can possess. Books are recognised as the greatest friends for a reason. Consequently, it's important to develop a positive reading habit.

Question: What are the advantages of children having a routine at school?
Answer: There are numerous advantages of having a daily routine for children. First of all, it enhances their self-esteem. Children, like all humans, seek comfort in structure, even if they do not completely comprehend it at the time. Even if they enjoy their brand of mayhem and enjoyment, children choose activities that are familiar to them and straightforward to perform. Furthermore, suppose a child's day is too unpredictable, and they consistently fail to complete chores because they are unfamiliar with them. In that case, they may develop low self-esteem and confidence issues as an adult.
Question: Should children have learning routines?
Answer: Yes, there must be a daily routine for children, with plenty of time for play, learning, and meals, as well as time for bed. Every routine teaches kids something valuable about life. Youth with a daily schedule are more likely to have better mental and physical health and stronger cognitive skills.
Question: How do people’s routines differ on weekdays and weekends?
Answer: Weekdays and weekends are entirely different, as are their routines. People have other jobs to accomplish on weekdays, and they complete their daily routines and other work as scheduled, but on weekends, they feel so lazy because they have no other work, and they utilise these days for family time and rest.
Question: Does having a routine make kids feel more secure at school?
Answer: Yes, having a routine at school can help children feel more secure. Children rely on routine and predictability; knowing what to expect can help them cope with worry and uncertainty. It also gives children a sense of control over their learning.
Question: What are the differences in people’s daily routines now and 15 years ago?
Answer: There are many differences in people's everyday routines now versus 15 years ago. Those people used to get up early in the morning and begin their work, such as gardening, or if somebody had a harvesting field, they would go there and begin work because they had no social network, television, or phone. However, utilising their mobile phone as soon as the day begins has become a daily ritual for them. Routines back then included spending time with other people. Routines today are focused on spending time with oneself and technology.
Question: What daily routines do people have at home?
Answer: People do a variety of things at home on a daily basis, such as watching TV, cooking, mopping, and cleaning.
