Spring, and October intakes in US Universities

US has various top leading universities known for proving the best quality education to students, which will help them to excel in their professional world. The universities offer students a wide range of courses at undergraduate as well as graduate levels. Also, they focus on providing practical-based knowledge to students. Therefore, there are a large number of students who prefer to Study in USA.

The universities in US offer majorly two intakes one is fall intake which starts in August/ September and another is spring intake which starts in January. Apart from this the universities also offer two minor intakes one is a summer intake in May and another is an October intake. 

Many students have myths about the spring intake that there are very less courses and universities available in this intake, but there is no such thing. The reason for which universities have introduced spring intake is that many students who are applying for undergraduate or graduate courses face problems in applying for the fall intake. As sometimes, the mark sheet for 12^th or the graduation comes in the month of July/ August and they fail to apply for the fall intake. So to support students and avoid the gap for the students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree instead of taking any work experience the universities have introduced spring intake. Due to the myth that spring intake is a small intake, more students apply for fall intake, meanwhile, the students who have applied for the spring intake have a high chance of approval of the application in the reputed universities. 

Moreover, if we talk about the October intake and may intake, there are very less courses offered in and very few universities in these two intakes as compared to fall and spring intake. Generally, the foundation courses, ESL courses, and language courses are offered in these intakes. There are few universities which are still open for October 2022 intake.
