Study in Canada 2023: Management Courses & Canada Study Visa

Difference Between MBA and MIM

Canada is one of the best destinations to pursue higher education. The country has achieved a high reputation for its academic excellence in recent years. Canadian universities are known worldwide for offering a wide range of course options at all levels. At the master’s level, MBA as well as MIM, both are among the top courses that international students choose to study in Canada. Sometimes, it gets confusing for students whether to pursue MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) or MIM (Master’s in Management).

In Canada, the duration for MBA is between 1 to 2 years, and the duration for MIM is between 12 to 16 months. Also, the duration of PSW allowed in Canada depends upon the duration of your course. So, students pursuing MBA will be eligible for more duration of PSW, and students pursuing MIM will tend to get less duration of PSW. Moreover, to enroll for an MBA degree in top-notch universities, students may require field-relevant work experience. Whereas for MIM, generally, students do not require work experience.
