The US is proudly hosting some of the best universities in the world. There are many international students, who wish to study in US Universities. Here are the tips for those students who wish to apply to US Universities that how to shortlist the universities that are best suited to you, keeping your preferred course in your mind.
TIP 1: Firstly, you must have to check the GPA requirement and see if you are able to match the requirement. A gap of 1% to 2% can be considered, but if the gap is more than that then you can keep that university in your ambition. But if you are keeping that university ambitious then to balance that out you can have the work experience, or if you are going for a master’s then you can have GRE or GMAT.
TIP 2: Secondly, you have to check the English proficiency requirement. You have to see which English proficiency exams are accepted by the university. Also, you have to check the cut-off (even section-wise also) of the English proficiency exam accepted. Generally, US Universities are very strict about English proficiency exam scores.
TIP 3: Thirdly, you have to check the requirement of tests like GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, etc. There are few universities where the GRE is optional. While some universities do not require GRE if your GPA is more than 3.
TIP 4: And the most important is the Budget. Before applying to the university you first have to decide on your maximum budget and see that who will sponsor your fund or how will you take the education loan. And then have to check whether the fees of the university is in your budget. Also, you have to see if you will be able to show the fund for the i20 and visa.
