Films and the film industry play a vital role in people’s lives, as people take references from these kinds of movies. This is why people make actors and actresses their role models along with the characters they have played. In these lines, today, I want to discuss a film character played by an actress whom I admire.
The actress I am talking about is Alia Bhatt, and the character she played was Rani Chatterjee in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
I recently saw the film when one of my friends suggested it to me, stating that I would like it. Although I was initially sceptical after watching the movie, I can vouch for it and say that it was worth the time.
Alia Bhatt's character in the movie is Rani Chatterjee, a journalist. She portrays a strong girl with a modern way of living and thinking but who is also attached to her roots. She has played a character who has maintained a balance of modern thinking and taken a stand for women's rights while keeping traditions and values in mind.
I admire this actress and the character she has played because, as an adult in a changing world, one tends to question the norms and practices one follows, and the same has happened to me as well. Looking at this particular character made me realise how important it is to maintain equilibrium. I like Alia Bhatt because of the work and types of characters she has played on the big screen. She is always trying something new and challenging and playing it with such precision, which is commendable.
To conclude, Rani Chatterjee is a character with whom I resonated, and I am happy that I watched the movie on my friend’s recommendation.

This is because, psychologically, people respond to visual representation better than what they listen to and read. Likewise, there is a movie and character played by an actor that motivated me, which is what I will be talking about today.
The actor I am mentioning is Vicky Kaushal. He played a character named Major Vihan Shergill, who was in Para Special Forces in the Indian Army in URI: The Surgical Strike.
I saw this film in the theatre back in 2019 when it was released before the pandemic hit the country.
The character in the film was a Major in the Para Special Forces, a special force in the Indian Army used for executing extremely critical special missions. Major Vihan Shergill, played by Vicky Kaushal, was no exception, and he was a strategy genius. It was because of Major Vihan Shergill that the URI strike on Pakistan was successful without any casualties in the Indian Army.
I admire Vicky Kaushal because of the precision and passion he has shown the character. He gave the audience a glimpse of what the Indian Army does for the country's citizens. On the other hand, because of these army personnel, the country's natives roam freely and without any fear of the neighbouring states. He has correctly shown the persistence, planning, and hard work that goes into executing a mission as important as the URI strike, a surgical strike India has never done before.

As we all know, films are a medium of knowledge, information, and many other things. Many movies are made on subjects that people were unaware of and now are more aware of. This is why the film industry needs to showcase the right set of things to portray the correct message to the audience. Likewise, I would want to talk about a movie loved by all and the one character I adore.
The actor is the comedy and action king Akshay Kumar, and the character he played was Dr. Aditya Shrivastav.
I saw this film with all my cousins during one of my summer vacations.
The character Akshay Kumar portrays is a blend of comedy and observant person. He plays the role of a psychiatrist, but unlike the normal doctors who treat their patients in a closed setting and have a certain set of rules, he is more free-willed and does not play by the book.
I admire Akshay Kumar and this particular character because he has played it intricately with a hint of fun and comedy. Even though he was playing the role of a psychiatrist and came to help his friend, he blended the traditional methods with science to cure the patient. He did not take the help of medicines, which is something he should learn from. As a psychology student, I found his particularly interesting because the case was a mystery to me.
To sum up, Dr. Aditya Shrivastav's character was fun and informative, which made it even more admirable.

Question- What are the differences between theatre and film acting?
Answer- Theater performances take place in real time, with actors speaking their lines nonstop in order. This means that there must be constant intensity and involvement throughout the performance. However, filmmaking permits scene-by-scene shooting, which frees performers from the strain of maintaining performance for the duration of a play, allowing them to concentrate on certain moments and emotions.
Question- Do you think characters portrayed in the movies impact young viewers and make them follow the traits shown in the characters?
Answer- As a visual medium, movies, in my opinion, stick with viewers for a very long period. Children tend to take the roles that actors and actresses portray seriously and internalise the characteristics of the characters, especially if they look up to or revere them. This is okay as long as the character is redeeming and offers valuable lessons.
Question- What, in your opinion, is something that shouldn't be encouraged to be depicted in movies?
Answer- I believe that no film should ever feature normalised violence. Although the tale may require the representation of violence, I firmly feel that it should also convey the message that violence is bad and should have consequences. This is due to the possibility that young people would believe that violence is OK if it is praised and there are no consequences.
Question- Do you prefer watching movies alone, or do you like to be with company?
Answer- When I watch a movie at home, I like to watch it by myself in my room. But, I don't think it's better to go to the movies by yourself since, in my opinion, going to the movies is more about the experience and having fun than it is about just seeing a movie. I like to go out with my family or friends since it is like a day out. In this way, the entire event becomes memorable, in addition to the fact that I love the movie.
