Jaipur is located in northern India, in the state of Rajasthan. It is about 300 kilometres southwest of Delhi, the capital of India.

 

How do you know about this place/city?

One of my close relatives lives in Jaipur, so I have visited that city several times. Every time I visit, it makes me feel peaceful.

 

What is it famous for?

Jaipur is famous for its rich history and beautiful architecture. It has many historical sites, such as the Amer Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal. The city is also known for its vibrant markets, where you can buy traditional handicrafts, jewellery, and textiles.

 

Why would you like to live there?

I would like to live in Jaipur because it is a blend of historic charm and modern amenities. The city is known for its friendly people and safe environment. There are also plenty of cultural events and festivals that make life exciting. The weather is generally pleasant, and the food is delicious and varied. Living in Jaipur would mean being surrounded by beautiful palaces and gardens, making daily life enjoyable.

During my initial years of career, my office was situated in Pune, and I lived in that city for almost 1.5 years. One of my close friends also lives in that city and keeps me updated with various changes happening there.

 

What is it famous for?

Pune is famous for its pleasant climate, educational institutions, IT companies, and vibrant cultural life. Because of its many well-known colleges and universities, it is often called the "Oxford of the East." The city is also known for its historical sites, such as the Aga Khan Palace and Shaniwarwada Fort.

 

Why would you like to live there?

I would like to live in Pune because it offers a high quality of life. The city has a mild climate throughout the year, which is comfortable. Pune has a friendly atmosphere and is less crowded than larger cities like Mumbai. Many green spaces and parks make it a pleasant place for outdoor activities. Pune has a lively cultural scene with numerous events, festivals, and dining options.

In conclusion, Pune is a city with all the modern conveniences. Its pleasant weather, job opportunities, and cultural richness make it an ideal place to live.

Answer: Yes, cities and towns in my country have changed a lot recently. Many cities now comprise of new buildings, shopping malls, and improved transportation systems. There are also more technology and entertainment options available. In towns, new developments like better schools and healthcare facilities often exist. However, this growth can also lead to problems like increased traffic and pollution. Overall, the changes are making places more modern but also more crowded.

 

Question: What factors will you consider while choosing whether the particular city is good or not to live in?

Answer: When choosing a city to live in, I consider factors like the cost of living, job opportunities, and the quality of schools and healthcare. I would also look at the area's safety and the availability of public transportation. Additionally, the climate and recreational activities are important to me. I want to ensure the city has a good balance of work and leisure and feels comfortable and welcoming.

 

Question: What are the differences between big cities and small cities?

Answer: Big cities are larger and have more people, businesses, and attractions. They offer many amenities like shopping malls, theatres, and public transport, but can also be crowded and noisy. Small cities have fewer people and businesses, which makes them quieter and more relaxed. They usually have a close-knit community and less pollution. However, small cities have fewer services and entertainment options than big cities.

 

Question: How do young and old people differ in choosing where to live?

Answer: Young people often choose places with vibrant social scenes, job opportunities, and entertainment options. They might prefer living in busy cities with lots of activities. Older people might look for quieter, more peaceful places with good healthcare and a relaxed atmosphere. They often value safety, community feel, and access to essential services. Both groups consider factors that match their lifestyle and needs at different stages of life.

 

Question: Do you prefer living in cities with contemporary amenities but dirty air, or the countryside with clean air?

Answer: I would prefer living in the countryside with clean air. While cities offer modern amenities, pollution and dirty air can negatively affect health. The countryside provides a healthier environment with fresh air and natural beauty. It might have fewer modern conveniences, but the benefits of clean air and a peaceful setting outweigh my lack of city amenities.
