IDP Announces One Module Retake of IELTS

Studying abroad is the dream of many international students. Education in a diverse environment and the personal growth that international students experience while studying abroad are highly commendable. Some of the top study-abroad destinations include the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe. In order to study abroad, international students have to prove their English language skills. Some universities accept the Medium of instruction of previous education to assess the student’s language skills, while some require an English proficiency test score.

IELTS is one of the most accepted English proficiency tests. It includes four sections, i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The maximum band that students can score in IELTS is 9. The test score is valid for 2 years. Recently, the IDP has given a new update for one module retake of IELTS. Now, if the Australian student is unable to achieve a required score in a single module, then they do not have to appear for all four modules again and can just appear for the module in which they haven’t scored the required band. Soon this rule can be applied to Indian students as well from March 2023.
