Timeline for Summer Intake in German Universities
Germany is a buzzing country packed with historical creatures, vibrant nightlife, and art galleries. The country is proudly hosting some top universities in the world, where many international students wish to study. Also, it is ranked among the top destination for global students. As per official reports, every year there are more than 3,50,000 international students who opt to study in Germany.
German universities are known for providing high-quality education to students. The degree from these universities will prove to be beneficial at the time of jobs after graduation or post-graduation. No matter which field you like to enter into, the German Universities will provide you with a wide range of courses and programs.
The German Universities offer two intakes to students one is summer intake and another is winter intake. Winter Intake is the major in German Universities starts from September.
The summer intake starts in April, there are more than 500 courses available in this intake. If you are interested in taking admission in summer intake, should follow the timeline given below:
- In the month of June, you should start deciding the course you wants to pursue and shortlist the universities.
- In the month of July and August, you should check for the eligibility criteria and take the eligibility test for English proficiency (IELTS, TOFEL) and other competitive test required in some particular universities for particular course (GRE/ GMAT).
- From September to November, you should start planning for the finance, required for the Tution fees as well as for the accommodation and living expenses. At the same time, you should start drafting SOP and request for LOR from the previous institution.
- In the month of December/ January, the students should start applying for the universities they have shortlisted and wait for the letter of acceptance. As soon as your application is accepted you can deposit your enrolment and other fees. After that you should also apply for the Germany student visa.
- Then in the month of February, if your visa is being accepted then you should start looking for the accommodation in Germany.
