Bachelor of Professional Creative Practice (Honours)
This course provides the opportunity for you to gain a postgraduate qualification, create an effective and professional body of creative work, make it publicly available and speak professionally about that work, based on in-depth and broad research.
It is New Zealand’s first project-based creative degree which sets you up for a job in the creative industries or almost any other vocation. Engaged in real-life and on-campus projects, you can explore a range of creative disciplines such as design, fashion, music, screen production or visual art.
If you are starting your business career and you want a degree then this Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) is just right for you. Alternatively, you might not yet know what direction you want to take your career but know you want a degree; in this case a business degree is a good option to develop your generic skills that could be used in a wide variety of careers.
This degree will give you an understanding of, and the ability to develop, high quality computing solutions. You will explore the processes and practices necessary to meet the demands of a professional career in the fast-paced computing industry.
This is an exciting growth period for the vibrant New Zealand wine industry and great wines cannot be produced without the skills and knowledge of top viticulturalists, winemakers and managers. Study the science of viticulture and winemaking (oenology) in New Zealand’s most diverse premium wine growing region. You will discover everything about growing quality wine grapes and how wine is made. You will learn about grape varieties, the environments they are best suited to plus the science and art involved in turning wine grapes into one of New Zealand’s most famous exports.
This programme enables those who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain, or similar, with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average (as per the EIT 11 point grading system) to achieve a postgraduate level qualification in the logistics and supply chain management area.
The philosophy underpinning the Wine Business and Innovation suite of programmes is to provide a breadth of knowledge and a business focus to those wanting to develop their skills and progress within the wine industry. The programmes can serve as rigorous professional development for those already within the wine industry, and as an advanced level pathway into the industry for those in other areas. It will also position graduates to pursue further research at the doctoral level, should they so wish.
The programme builds on your existing information technology knowledge and skills through courses that research and apply that knowledge and those skills in an environment that combines project work, case studies, real-life simulations, and practical work experience. It encourages flexibility, acknowledging the diversity of the IT environment and the diversity in student interest and needs.
The programme has been developed to ensure you study a broad range of business areas and the professional competencies represent the technical skill areas that the courses will cover.
It enables those who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Information Technology, Business or similar to achieve a postgraduate level qualification in the digital business area. The programme can be completed in 24 months (240 credits) or 18 months (180 credits) full-time or up to six years part-time, depending on your previous study and experience and specific course preferences.
