Study in Germany for Indian Students

Initially, you need to decide interesting course which you want to study in Germany. Fortunately, there are numerous options available in Germany for both Bachelors and Master is quite an easy job.

You need to carry out an online research to find the names of all those universities and courses of your interest. Instead, you can also check an online comprehensive database of universities available in Germany to help you to find yours through all of them.

At this point, you can go through their course details and find if there are any universities that offer exactly the same what you are looking for. Then from there, you can shortlist universities and courses interested in or which best fit according to your academic goals.

Students from India who want to study Bachelor degree from Germany must submit the following documents:

• 10, 12, Diploma/ or Entrance Qualification

• 12  Class Certificate 

• Proof of Language Proficiency / IELTS / MOI

• ID or Valid Passport 

• Letter of Recommendation (Optional)

As for language proficiency, remember that there are very few undergraduate programs in Germany offered in the English language.

Indian students who want to enroll in MasterDegree must submit the following documents:

• 10,12, Bachelor Degree

• All the Transcript of Grades

• Proof of Language Proficiency / IELTS / MOI

• Letter of Recommendation

• Important References if any

• Statement of Purpose (Sop)

• Work Experiences (Optional)

After you completed all the application documents now it is time to submitting your university application online. You can fill the application online. Keep Note that although the online application is the most frequent and convenient, there are certain universities, which only accept applications by post or in person.

Most universities in Germany are part of the UniAssist platform which helps you to apply online for the chosen course. On the other hand, there are still some universities that run their individual personal online application portals.  In both ways, you need to submit the application in the required format.

After successfully submitting your application you must wait for the admission team to check your application. You must keep in mind that German universities receive a large number of international applications, so, the processing of your application takes time usually around 3 to 5 weeks.
Normally, the university will send you an email to confirm either they have given or not a place at their institution within the period of several weeks.

As an Indian student, you have to apply for a visa. Once you receive the acceptance letter, you need to take a printout and need to book an appointment in the German embassy located nearby in your home country. Officers working there will check the documents provided with your visa application and the procedures you must follow to apply for a student visa in Germany.

3. Proof of Financial Resources “Finanzierungsnachweis”. Like ITR

4. Proof of Health Insurance Coverage. At least for 3 months, but we prefer for 1 year

5. University Entrance Qualification. Like all Academic documents mentioned above.

6. Proof of Language Proficiency. Likes Ielts/ MOI
