Describe an adventure you would like to go on - IELTS cue card

Adventure can be understood as an unusual and exciting experience. Everyone wishes to go on such an adventure once in a lifetime. Nowadays, people are more inclined to make and fulfil a bucket list. 

I wish to go on an adventure to Imagica in Maharashtra near Mumbai. It is an adventure park with a themed entertainment destination featuring an on-premise hotel, unique characters, innovative attractions, thrilling rides and shows, meeting spaces, and major events—it is a place for all seasons, all interests, and all ages.

I want to go to the adventure theme park with my friends or cousins as they are equally interested and excited about going there. The adrenaline rush of doing something with family or cousins will further fuel our motivation, which would help us cover a large part of the theme park in a day.

I wish to go there during the winters, around October-November, as this would be the perfect time according to the weather, and there would be no rush. 

To conclude, Imagica is an adventure park that I have wanted to visit for a long time. I have heard so many good things about this particular park that I am eager to visit it. It would be a fun trip with lots of activities and adventure.

Adventure does not necessarily mean going for an activity or on a trip. In my opinion, it also means moving to another city to stay or shift to a new city for a job. Moving forward, I want to discuss one such adventure of life that I want to go on. 

The adventure I would like to have is getting admission in my choice of university in the USA and moving abroad. It would be a first for anyone in my family that someone would be moving abroad, and it would be no less than an adventure. After completing my bachelor's, I wish to pursue my career further in the USA and make a career for myself. I believe that the country can offer pivotal opportunities to grow personally and professionally.

I would like to go alone, which would surely prove difficult for me, initially. I do understand that, but this is the adventure I want to experience. This experience would help me understand life from a different perspective and will transform me into a human being with rich and diverse experiences. 

I have applied for the winter intake, and I hope to get into it because I am extremely excited about experiencing snow and the winter weather. I have seen that the USA has various regions with good snowfall every year, and winter lasts longer than other seasons. 

To conclude, I believe that moving to an unknown country with no support can be the biggest adventure I will ever experience. Along with my studies, it would help me grow as a person and deepen and expand my understanding of life.

Like every other young adult, adventure for me translates into a well-planned trip with friends to the hills of Uttarakhand or the beaches of Goa. These are a few of the wishes every person makes with their friends when they are in college. Likewise, I have made such plans with my friends.

All my friends and I wish to trek to the Kedarnath and Tungnath temples in the mountains. The state of Uttarakhand is known for its beautiful landscapes and the large number of Lord Shiva temples. Kedarnath and Tungnath are two of the five famous temples of Lord Shiva, and they are very significant. There is a famous and significant story in Indian mythology behind these temples, and different beliefs surround them.

I wish to go on this trek with either my friends or a group of people eager to trek. Even though the destination is spiritual, the journey to it would be beautiful. In both options, I will either enjoy myself with my friends or make new friends while sharing different stories with them and making new memories.

As all my friends and I want to experience the beautiful mountain planes along with snowfall, we would like to go in September or October. As the temple is in the mountains, it remains closed from November to March due to heavy rainfall and safety purposes. 

To conclude, I want to go on this adventure of trekking with friends or a group of new people, which would be an adventure in itself. In addition, these temples are of great importance in Hindu culture and are considered very pious. Going on this trek would be a lifetime thing for me.

Question- What kind of personality should a person have to be able to take risks?

Answer- I believe that one should be able to accept defeat and move on. People should not be frightened of failure since taking risks implies that there will be setbacks. Actually, failure is supposed to spur you on to try again. To put it briefly, adventure is for those who can confront their fears head-on and emerge on the other side.

Question- Do adventures expand your horizons?

Answer- Yes, I firmly believe so. Through taking chances and stepping outside of our comfort zones, adventures teach us to become happier, more self-assured, and more receptive to new experiences. In the end, experiences strengthen us by making us aware of our potential.

Question- What kind of people love adventure? What specific age group?

Answer- Due to the physical demands of adventures, I believe that young people tend to enjoy them the most. But having a strong mind is also a must for being adventurous. I believe that everyone can overcome any physical obstacle with mental resolve.

Question- Which one is more interesting, adventure stories in the books or adventure films?

Answer- I believe that the task or adventure becomes much more interesting when you visualise it. Thus, I would choose adventurous movies. Books aren't necessarily horrible, but I think it's very hard to convey the difficulty of the adventure in words. Of course, a few writers with extraordinary linguistic skills, like J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin, have succeeded in doing so.

Question- What Safety Measures Would You Take Before Embarking on This Adventure?

Answer- Before going on these adventures, I will ensure that I do thorough research, follow all the safety guidelines, undergo necessary training, and have proper equipment and emergency plans in place to make it a successful adventure for myself.
